DAG is not a novel solution that solves it all. Not only is it not a novel, but it creates a problem rather than solves it.

BlockDAGs are then nothing more than asynchronous or parallelizable Proof of Work (POW).

To make the BlockdDAG network fast and secure, we need a consensus protocol that needs to differ from the longest chain rule suitable only for the linear block ordering typical for blockchains.

However, to design a good PoW blockDAG consensus protocol, it is important to realize that the less you assume about the network, the more secure it is and the harder it is for researchers to design it.
